Bhojan ("we", "us", "our") operates an AI cooking assistant via WhatsApp. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

• WhatsApp phone number — to communicate with you on WhatsApp.
• Food preferences — diet type, allergies, health goals, family size, cuisine preferences.
• Voice notes — processed for understanding your requests. Voice data is not stored permanently; it is transcribed and the audio is deleted within 24 hours.
• Recipe feedback — ratings and reactions you provide on recommended recipes.
• Meal history — which recipes you cooked, for nutrition tracking purposes.
• Payment information — processed securely via Razorpay. We do not store your UPI ID or bank details.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To personalize recipe recommendations based on your preferences and health goals.
• To provide voice-based cooking instructions and grocery ordering.
• To track your nutrition and provide health reports.
• To improve our recommendation engine and service quality.
• To process subscription payments.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Service providers — WhatsApp (Meta) for messaging, Razorpay for payments, cloud infrastructure providers for hosting.
• Grocery platforms — when you use voice ordering, item data is shared with Blinkit/Instamart to create your cart. No personal data is shared.

4. Data Retention

We retain your preference data and meal history for as long as your account is active. Upon cancellation, your data is deleted within 48 hours. Voice note audio is deleted within 24 hours of processing.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. All WhatsApp communications are end-to-end encrypted by WhatsApp. Our servers are hosted on secure cloud infrastructure.

6. Your Rights

• You can request a copy of your data at any time by messaging us on WhatsApp.
• You can delete your account and all data by typing /cancel on WhatsApp.
• You can update your preferences at any time through the WhatsApp conversation.

7. Children's Privacy

Bhojan is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify active users of significant changes via WhatsApp.
